Maria Alejandra Cardona, born in Venezuela, raised in Miami, Florida, her culture was strongly based on immigration and language barriers; she began to explore how to document the world and untold narratives by immersing herself in various communities.

Maria has obtained a bachelors in multimedia photojournalism from Columbia College Chicago.
